Father God, I thank You for the power and strength of Your Word, it is sharper than any two-edged sword, it cuts and heals, it pulls down and raises up, it defends and protects and gives life.

Father, You are not a man that You should lie. I thank You for Your Word which says, “There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you” (Deu 11:25). The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. (Deu 28:7). A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand but it shall not come nigh thee (Psalm 91:7). I will send my fear before you, putting to flight all the people to whom you come; all those who are against you will go in flight, turning their backs before you (Exo 23:27 BBE).

I thank You Lord, my heavenly Father, for the power of Your creative life-giving Word which gives victory over our enemies. I pray that the defence promised in Your word be applied to us today and with that Word of our Lord Jesus Christ and by the power and authority of the Holy Spirit, I place every attack on the families of God’s people, every sickness and condition and every complaint under the blood of Jesus Christ, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
