God Is Our Keeper
“While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled” (Joh 17:12).
Jesus kept all who were given Him to keep. God through Christ Jesus keeps us as the apple of His eye. God has placed us, as it were, in custody, detained by the power of Jesus Christ; Christ is given charge over us to keep us from falling and to sustain, guard and protect us as the Father’s possession. He restrains us from departing from Him – God is a keeper. God through Christ Jesus is the ‘keep’, a fortress designed as a place of safety, a high tower, fortified against enemies.
There are lots of attractions in this world at present but none of these things, not fortune nor fame can keep us and get us into heaven. We who know about the keeping power of God may have heard it, read it in the Book, or had a heavenly breakthrough, this is why I continue in prayer in Jesus’ name, for all preachers that they may recieve utterance to preach the Word of God only – then, will people know that Jesus can keep them in a time such as this. And so my brethren, in the name of Jesus Christ, if you know the Lord is keeping you what are you worried about? Read Exodus 34:6-7.
May the keeping power of God be your blessing, I pray, may He preserve you, maintain you, may His mercies wash over you in abundance. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
