The Bible instructs us to pray without ceasing. Paul was not asking the church to pray in the good times or in the bad times. His encouragement was an experience that he had. Paul along with Silas in prison did not stop to have conversation about their situation they worshiped God in prayer and song. Our Father in heaven instructs us to call Him,  and He further encourages us that He will answer (Jer 33:3). Jesus taught His Disciples to pray because prayer is an esential necessity in our relationship with our Father. God knows what we need even before we ask but He wants to hear from us and He says in Isaiah 65:24, “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” Let us pray for this world of sin, against abortion, against assisted suicide, against unlawful killing, against governments making poor decisions. Yes, God will answer. It may not be today but keep praying in Jesus’ name.

God will answer. There are many situations where prayer was sent up and it did not seem that God heard. In a particular case, Paul prayed three times for healing. If God does not answer how you want Him to, He still gives grace. I pray in Jesus’ name that the Holy Spirit of prayer will wash over our souls that we may with one voice call on the Lord our God – He who is our all in all, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
