Focus On Jehovah God
In this modern age, where people are “ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (2Tim 3:7) believers must watch, and guard our minds (1Pet 1:13). against insidious satanic wiles and temptations. Keep your minds focused on God.
We must avoid all forms of false doctrine that is preached and abound in churches today. Let us remain in the simple gospel of Jesus Christ which is capable of seeing us through to the very end of the age. Do not believe any doctrine that arises outside of the gospel of Jesus Christ (Gal 3:1,3). Peter encourages thus, “But the Word of God is eternal. And this is the Word of the good news which was given you” (1Pet 1:25).
There are false teachers rising up every day with different kinds of teachings and beliefs. Moreover, they’re using their influence to spread erroneous doctrines to unsuspecting believers. Scripture has forewarned us of this, therefore, you and I need to be discerning and selective of where we go and who we listen to. For example, the school of motivational church leaders, speak more about their opinions and money than the Word of God. Many who attend these kinds of church meetings only get excited momentarily when speakers tell them what they want to hear. The Holy Spirit forewarned us of this in 2 Timothy 4:3.
Father God, Creator, we offer our sacrifice of praise unto Your holy name. Father, we thank You for Your eternal Word that shapes our lives, Your Word that guards and guides our daily walk with You. Thank You, Lord. Today, we ask that You would fortify our minds, and protect our hearts from unholy attacks. We give You thanks for every blessing. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen and Amen.
