Forgive One Another
“Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors” (Mat 6:12). What does that mean to you? Do we forgive others when they offend us? Really, do you?
How many times do we say that we have forgiven an offender but feel the offence all over again whenever their name is mentioned or we just happen to see them somewhere? We must be careful not to just repeat the Lord’s prayer but live it in all its power and glory.
Sometimes we might say, I just can’t forget what they did, what they said. Well guess what, God sees and hears our every thought, both good and bad. Does He turn His back on us? No. He forgives us when we humbly ask for His forgiveness. People do, and will turn their backs on you even after you have fed them with good food, prayed with them, for them and defended them. So, what are you going to do? Read: Mar 11:25, Col 3:13, Mat 18:22, Eph 4:32.
And, remember this, “Jesus knows our every weakness, take it to the Lord in prayer.” (From a Christian Hymn by Joseph M Scriven 1855). Done, it done. Amen.
