Thy Ways Are Right, O Lord
“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Pro 3:6). In a desire to reflect and fully understand what the writer was expressing in verse six, I have endeavoured to look into it deeply. Firstly, it cannot be in my own ways that God would direct me in. Secondly, if it were so, I would surely be lost without a chance of being found.
But mine is to begin my walk with God, continue that walk with God, and end my walk with God, looking for His support along the way in all that I say and do. Being a child of God means that I am born again in Christ with His ways to execute and so His ways in me are higher than my ways would be.
In this world today people have their own ways and they think that God should conform to them. This tells me that they do not rely on God for any directions. God is not directing them in anything concerning the flesh. Our way in the earth is fleshly; but prefering our own way is to go without God. To acknowledge God is to have a light shining on our paths giving direction against wrong turns.
I pray that we all will be directed by the Holy Spirit of God and by the light of His countenance shining upon us. In Jesus’ holy name. Amen.
