Don’t give up As a child of God, have you ever felt like giving up, just throwing in the towel, too much pain, struggle, disappointment, problems at work, problems with children, with spouses, long term sickness and you just feel like its too much? Well, the times we live in suggest that many people may have already given up the fight.

But before you even begin to think that you can’t make it, let me encourage you to press on for ‘the prize of the high calling….’ (Phi 3:14). Let me encourage you not to give up, No, Never. When all is said and done, neither you nor I have the right to give up this great Salvation; Jesus died to secure it for you and me. Jesus overcame the world, and He said “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”. (Joh 16:33 KJVLite).

Would you really give up, and give in, to an already defeated world? No way! The world does not own or control you. The world does not have power over you, it is defeated. Your hope is in Christ. “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is” (Jer 17:7 KJVLite). So, I urge you to hold on to Jesus your eternal hope, hold on to your Salvation. “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (Joh 3:17 KJVLite). Can you imagine what would have happened if Christ had given up, threw his hands up in the air and said, I can’t do this?

My brother, my sister, hold on to God, he has always had good plans for you (Jer 27:11 KJVLite). Hold on to your blessings, (Psa 34:8 KJVLite) in Jesus’ name. If you have never felt like you couldn’t make it, that is great news. Bless the Lord! Please take the time to pray for all the people in the world who are struggling. All glory be to God both now, and forevermore. Amen.
