“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive” (Matt 21:22).

Father, in Jesus’ name forgive us for relying on our own agendas, wisdom, strength, energy and ideas rather than relying trusting and abiding in You and seeking only You, first. Father, help us to lay aside the things that so easily beset and prevent us, anything that hinders us from pursuing Your best. Help us to prioritise prayer and devote ourselves to it, making prayer a first of all in our lives, our families, communities, our church and world. Help us, Father, to be engaged in the activity of prayer so that our relationship with You will be deepened, and we will be humbled and closer drawn to You, in Jesus’ name.

Father, I ask in the name of Jesus, that You make Your people, a people of prayer for all the nations and world. Revive us again, fill us up again, O Lord. Help us to walk by Your Spirit and strength that we may bring prayers, Your honour, glory and praise to this generation and the those to come. In Jesus’ holy name. Amen.
