Thank You, Lord
Father God, I thank You for Your generous gifts to Your church, and Your gifts to me. Your Word says, “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues,” (1Cor 12:28 KJVLite).
Further encouragement comes from Epehsians 4, “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, urge you to live in a way that is worthy of the calling to which you have been called, demonstrating all expressions of humility, gentleness, and patience, accepting one another in love.” (Eph 4:1-2).
Father, teach me to operate the gifts you have placed in my life. Help me to live in a way that is fitting and reflects my calling. Teach me gratitude Lord, to respect Your gifts and live a life that pleases You and blesses others. Teach me to recognise Your call on my life and not be envious of others gifts or calling. Keep me also from envying the oppressor and choosing his ways (Pro 3:33), which are the ways of destruction.
Teach me to be humble and willing to allow You to make me over and refine me. Keep me from moaning and complaining about others without first seeing the beam in my own eye. Father, help me to focus on You for it is You that saved me and placed Your gifts in me, for Your glory. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
