Jealousy
Greetings to all God’s people.
James 3:16 If Jealousy exists in the body of God’s people and it does, every sin will be seen and known, confusion and every evil work is its produce. It is one of the tools the enemy uses to cause sin in the body against God, and remove us from a position of safety. Proverbs 27:4 tells us that wrath and anger are not able to stand before (envy) jealousy, which tells us that envy is a serious horrid and destructive sin and when sin is finished it causes death (James 1:15-16) Sin not, 1John 2:1, Ephesians 4:26.
We are to avoid sin in every circumstance and everything that causes it. 1Corinthians 3:3 tells us that envy is discribed as carnal and where there is carnality, strife and division exist. Therefore, the people of God walk as the world walks. It is clear that God is against jealousy and those who cause it, as it puts a block of stumbling in the way of God’s people. It is a wicked act and it causes God’s people to demonstrate poor behavour.
In John 11:39 Just before Jesus called Lazarus to life he spoke these divine words, “take ye away the stone” because the stone was blocking the flow of supernatural blessings from God to Lazarus. Take away the stone, means remove anything that would stop us from coming to God. Jesus could have by mere force of will removed the stone. Today, Jesus wants us to take away the stone. My brethren, take away anything that would stop our God from hearing us.Father, I pray in Jesus’ name and by the power of the Holy Spirit, open our eyes to the scriptures and cause us to live thereby. It has become easy to say what should be done and not do it. But Your Word, Father God, encourages us to be doers of the Word not just hearers (James 1:22-25). Your Word is Spirit and Life without which we will die. Turn us, O Lord, and cause us to live righteously. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
