Pray For Each Other
Greetings to the Saints of God, the Church of the living God, the Almighty Jehovah.
When we are called out and set apart for God, we are no longer people bound by sin. We are now the called out ones, the Ecclesia, and set apart for God’s glory.
So, what does that mean? We do things differently from the way we used to. Our behaviour is changed, our communication is changed – our language is cleaned up, our attitudes towards other people is improved, our minds are transformed by Christ Jesus, and we think differently about other people. And yes, we love people – we are no longer sounding brass or tinkling cymbals. We pray for our enemies, why? because the Word of God tells us to love our neighbours as ourselves (Mk 12:31). When we show love to each other, the world recognises that we belong to Christ Jesus (Jn 13:34).
Seated at the right hand of God, Jesus intercedes for us. As Jesus’ disciples we must also intercede on behalf of other people. Pray for the world, the world desperately needs prayers. Intercede, make supplications for all the people in the world. Leave nothing unsaid, say it all to the Lord, He hears, He understands and acts on our behalf.
In Jesus’ name I pray, may the Spirit of God touch your heart and strengthen you in your inner being. May the God of heaven bless your prayers, your praise and worship and fit you for heaven. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
