Exo 14:13-14

“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.” The Lord shall fight for you and you shall hold your peace.

Heavenly Father, of mercy and grace, I thank You for Your Salvation and deliverance that brings peace. Thank You that we can stand still and see You moving on our behalf. Father, as You did for Israel, let Your move mean that we shall not see our enemies anymore forever.

The encouragement here is to ‘fear not’ and stand still. Fear is created by our enemies to distract and to delay but God is saying move forward. We must lift up our heads and see the power of God to save and deliver and keep our eyes focused on God. In delivering us, God will demonstrate His attributes to our enemies. In the meantime, wait, hold your peace, God is never late to the fight, hold your God given peace for God has never lost a fight, hold your peace, God is mighty in battle, hold your peace, God is a God of war, Hallelujah! Defeat is not our portion. Victory over our enemies is in our praise, (2 Chr 20:22) glory to God. Father God, help us, open our eyes, that we might see. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
