2 Corinthians 12:7-9

Greetings brethren in Christ Jesus, Hallelujah! Amen.

Most of us, those who walked bare footed and grew up in the Caribbean, might remember what it feels like to have a thorn pierce the sole of your foot and break off inside. It was painful, very painful as sometimes that thorn would be so deep inside the flesh it was almost impossible for someone to remove it.

Imagine then how it felt for the Apostle Paul to have a thorn in his flesh. Whether physical or spiritual, he prayed to God three times for healing. He must have been in agony. I can’t ever remember praying to God once, in the many times a thorn broke off in my foot never mind three times. If I had known, at that time, that God’s grace would help me I would have cried out to God for help.

Paul prayed. The answer he received may not have been the answer he was expecting. God answered with an abundance of Grace to enable Paul to continue. Maybe you have called out to God but your answer is not yet manifested so you’re still waiting. The Bible says wait on the Lord, keep on calling, and do not faint. Scripture also encourages that: the troubles of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

I pray, in Jesus’ name, that we recieve the grace of the Lord God: in weakness it is your strength and in sickness it is a balm. I pray that we will be able to bear up even when enduring cronic pain or spiritual trials, knowing that God’s glory shall be revealed in us. May God bless you, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
