It is the Word of God that brings life, and life in Christ, and Christ to life from death. Jesus said: “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”. (Joh 6:63 KJVLite). How can we live without the power of the Word of God in our daily lives, it is like the air we breathe, they must be a part of our routines: we read we pray, we read we pray and so we gain strength to resist the tempter, the deceiver and accuser of the brethren. Without the Word of God, we couldn’t even consider a Spiritual fight against the onslaught of hell with its many devises to destroy us. The Word of God, which is sharper than any two-edged sword, is the weapon of our warfare. When you have Jesus you have life as Jesus is the Word, the all powerful life-giving Word.

I pray the Lord God of heaven, empower you to pull down every stronghold, and bless you by His Spirit, His authority and power. May He bless your children and communities, the church and world as you read, study, pray and live a Christ-like life. In Jesus’ holy name we pray. Amen.
