Righteousness is God’s requirement for Holiness; it exalts a nation and comes with turning away from sin. Righteousness comes after true repentance. We cannot desire to be close to God in relationship without repentance, even if we are saved. The only place repentance is impossible, and absent is in the grave, so whilst we are alive and have committed sin it must be done. We must repent, God’s people must be without hindrances, and led to say, Father, have mercy on me a sinner (Luke 18:13) forgive me for I have sinned and fallen short of Your glory and where You want me to be – I am sorry. God does not set people who are not ready to repent over His Kingdom. God knows that we make mistakes and is willing to forgive and repair those mistakes if we repent.

The only way back to God is repentance, the only way to restoration in Christ is repentance. We are forgiven when we say sorry to God out of a sorrowful heart. Men did not design repentance it was set by God through Christ Jesus to reconcile people to God.  Without repentance we will die in sin and trespasses, so repent and live in Jesus’ name. Father in heaven, pour out the attitude and the spirit of repentance into the Church that You are building because it is Your plan for us to live. In Jesus’ Holy name. Amen Hallelujah and Amen.
