“The works of the flesh are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings and such like” (Gal 5:19-22). There are 17 works of evil listed, against these there is a law. We must navigate our way through this life doing our very best to avoid all these works of evil. The enemy is working hard with all his 17 evil resources to inflict wickedness and promote the same in the lives of God’s people.

However, as believers, we naturally have the presence of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. So, by demonstrating the presence of the Holy Spirit and the fruit of the Spirit of God, which are: “love, Joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, faith, Meekness, temperance, against which there is no law” (Gal 5:22-23). Hallelujah, we resist and overcome. Those of us who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with all its affections and lusts. And we must therefore live and walk in the Spirit (Gal 5:24-25).

Father, You promised, that in the last days You would pour out Your Spirit on all flesh (Joel 2:28). Father, we need Your Spiritual guidance to be able to stand and do all to Stand, and I declare that we will all stand in the name of Jesus. Amen.
