What Must I Do
1Samuel 23:9
When David faced the most difficult times, he would always turn to the Lord. David would often stop and inquire of the Lord for direction and wisdom. When we face difficulties, we must stop and ask the Lord what we should do. Ask the Lord what you should do, the answer will come, if you are willing wait for it!
Isn’t it strange how trouble can distract us from praying – using the most valuable weapon we have as Christians. Without prayer there is no help and no defence. David needed help and defence against King Saul. Without prayers there is no breaking of chains, no subduing of the enemy, no breaking of strongholds, no overcoming evil, no victory, no healing, no restoration, no answers, no solutions.
Why do so many of us find it hard to pray when we are in trouble? Is it because we don’t have time to ask the Lord for help. Are we too busy trying to fix the problem ourselves or listening to the wrong kind of advice? Are we more capable than God who says, I will be with you in trouble? God is not a man that He should lie, whatever He says He will do, He will do. Trust Him alone who is our trust. Call him – He says He will hear you and answer you. We must not lose our faith. Trust God to be our God.
I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that we would all gather up our strength, trust and faith in Christ Jesus, open up our mouths and pray to the Father, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
