The Word of the Lord tells us in 1Timothy 2:1-4 to pray for all people because it is good and acceptable in the sight of God our saviour who will have all people to be saved, and come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Today I pray that you will be safe from danger seen and unseen, from the effects of a broken damaged world: Corona virus, brutality, domestic violence and abuse, racism and its insidious and fatal effects. I thank my God that this world is not our home, how could be? It is broken. God’s gift to us is not broken, and so I pray against brokenness, sickness of the mind, spirit, soul and body. I pray for strength over weakness, prosperity over poverty, righteousness over sin, I pray for salvation, that we would be prepared when unsaved people ask the church for help.

I pray that the power of the blood of Jesus Christ would wash over you and over us all to cleanse us from all sin, in the name of Jesus Christ. I pray for all those who whose role it is to lead the congregation of God’s people into His presence: I pray that God would anoint you with  Holy Spirit direction; fill you with His wisdom, make you steadfast and unmovable – determined to seek His face.

I pray God would hear and answer the prayers of church leaders and elders who watch for our souls that the congregation may prosper and be in good spiritul health. I pray for love among the congregation, more Publicans than Pharisees. I pray for an abundance of joy and victory, and that God would fight your battles for you. I pray God gives you what to say, I pray God gives you a place to stand beside Himself, a place to hide and shelter from life’s storms, Hallelujah! In the name of Jesus.

O God, of heaven according to your word, I pray a table be set before your people that the world might know that you are God, and that there is None else. You are God, Almighty, Sovereign, Saviour, Ruler, Creator, Healer and Helper. Hallelujah! Reign forever over us, O King of heaven, in Jesus’ holy name. Thine is the glory for ever. Hallelujah! Amen.
