Father, Your Word tells us that if we love You, we must also love our Christian brothers and sisters. John 13:34-35 says, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (KJVLite). 

We therefore declare that, we will not only look out for our own interests, but will also take an interest in each other’s needs. We declare that we will live in harmony with each other and resist division.

We declare that we will be of one mind, united in thought and purpose. We declare that as a Church Family we will turn away from evil, and do good; we will search for peace and work to maintain it. We acknowledge our past failures, and commit to encouraging and building each other up in faith and love. 

Above all things, we decree and declare the love of God which is the bond of perfection. Holy Spirit, I pray for Your guidance to demonstrate and promote unity within our Church Family each day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
