Father God, I thank You for protecting us from the deadly impacts of jealousy, envy, strife, chasing after vanity, and the selfish desires that separate us from You, Your Word and one another. Father, I pray that You would open our eyes so that we might see the effects, the pain, the hurt and the disappointment that is manifested through the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. This is not of God, but is worldly (1Jn 2:16).

Father, keep us, help us to be strong, to resist deceptive enticements to mingle with ungodly workers of iniquity. Open our eyes to become aware of their works, so that we do not become like them, neither in thought nor deed. Open our eyes, Lord, that we would discern righteousness from ungodliness according to Your Word. 

I pray that we hold onto Your Word, that we live it, keep all of Your Commandments in spite of haters, objectors, scoffers, and workers of iniquity. Let us be holy, O God, as You are holy. In Jesus’ holy name. Amen.
