Father in heaven, we give You all our worship and all our praise, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Father, we live in societies under the rules of Governments that have power to do much good, and so Lord, we pray in Jesus’ name that their authority to govern might be directed by the power of Your Holy Spirit, to do the things that bring glory to Your name. Bad rulers have power to do much evil, to study war and to bring destruction to the poor, so we pray, Father in heaven, with the lifting up of hands that they might be prevented from using their power for evil and that their hearts be turned to You. 

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for all people, the haters, the mockers and scorners. For those in authority, leaders, rulers, teachers, preachers, governments, kings and queens, for parents and children, for the sick and healthy, the rich and poor, the good and bad, that we all may be drawn close to You, turned to You, to have a place by You. 

We know that our praying for all people in Jesus’ name, is not in vain as it is the positive duty of all believers to pray. The answer to our prayers, in either case, will be the means by which we are enabled to lead a quiet and peaceable life, O Lord our God, in all godliness and honesty, in Jesus’ holy name. In anticipation of Your Divine response, Father God, in Jesus’ name, we give You thanks Amen.
