Inspired by 1Corinthians 12: 4-11

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit, and there are varieties of ministries, but the same Lord (Vs 4-5). The God who made us all, decides what gifts he will give to each one of us. So there really is no need to be envious of anyone else’s gifts or talents. It pleases God to give us gifts. As the scripture says: in 1Corinthians 12:8 “To one has been given a message of wisdom by the Spirit; to another the ability to speak with knowledge according to the same Spirit;”

God has given us a variety of gifts and talents to use for the common good. He made unique individuals with abilities that connect us to each other, by the same Spirit. God’s precious gifts to us, give us amazing abilities by which to worship and serve Him alone. Ask yourself, What are my gifts and talents? How am I using my gifts and talents to glorify God? When you’ve identified your gifts and talents, ask the Lord to help you to use them for his glory that you might be a blessing to others.

Whatever your gifts and talents are, they are God given, which means that the same Spirit working in the individual who prophecies is the same Spirit that’s working in the person speaking in tongues and the one who interprets/makes clear the message of the spoken tongues. Verse 11 tells us “But one and the same Spirit produces all these results and gives what he wants to each person. So as we have gifts from God that are being worked in us by the same Spirit. We must therefore behave in a way that demonstrates the Spirit of God in oneness. Use your gifts and talents to the glory of God. Amen.

Glory to God in the Highest, peace on earth to all humanity, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
