This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (1John 1:5-7 KJVLite).

Father God of heaven, we thank You for life in Christ Jesus. Lord Jesus, we acknowledge that You are the light of the world. You bring light to every person, everyone who would hear Your Word. Lord, help us to walk in the light as children of the light, having fellowship with You and one another, speaking the truth in our hearts, making supplication and prayers for everyone: training up children in the way they should go, feeding the poor, taking care of the fatherless, the widow and the stranger. O God, our Father, we ask for new strength to serve You in spirit and in truth. In Jesus’ holy  name. Amen.
