Keep On Praying
Prayer brings deliverance, forgiveness, healing, salvation, unity, faith and yet although it can accomplish so much it is done so little.
1Th 5:17 Prayer is the only activity in scripture that encourages us to talk to God without stopping. If you need help to pray Rom 8:26 tells us that we have the Spirit to help us to pray in a language only God can understand – we have help.
We are encouraged to pray without fainting (Luk 18:1) We must not grow weary of making our requests known to God, all people must pray, (JESUS THOU SON OF DAVID HAVE MERCY ON ME). The bible says continue it, watch in it, and give thanks in it (Col 4:2) pray in the spirit with supplication (Eph 6:18).
There is no set fashion prescribed to pray, Abram seemed to grab the opportunity in Gen 15:1-3 when he made his request to God for a son.In 1Ki 8:22 Solomon stands with his hands outstretched towards heaven. In 2Ki 20:2 Hezekiah prayed with his face to the wall, Jonah prayed from the belly of a fish (Jon 2:1) Paul and Sylas did it in prison late in the midnight hour (Act 16:25). The prayer of Paul and Sylas shook the earth, the foundation of the prison, opened all the doors, and bands were loosed. This is what prayer can produce and why I encourage God’s people to pray in Jesus’ name to the God with whom nothing is impossible. Ask by faith for anything in Jesus’ name and it shall be done.
