And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually (Job 1:5).

Father, thank You for the privilege of being sanctified by the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ daily. Father, in the Holy name of Jesus Christ, I pray that repentance and confession would ever be on our hearts to do daily for it maybe that there is sin present with us.

The Apostle explains the presence of sin, thus, “I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members” (Rom 7:21- 23 NIV).

Father, as we fast and pray, we ask that You intervene on our behalf to break chains, destroy strongholds. Father, for these mercies we ask, and give thanks. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we bless Your holy name. Amen.
