Prayer Moves Our God
My friends in Christ, Jesus, I want to continue to encourage you that God still answers prayers. In the book of 2Chronicles 6:15, Solomon beseeched God to open His eyes, and let the ears of God be attent to the prayers made. God answered with insructions to Solomon for all the people to follow. God would hear the prayers Solomon made if the the people heard God. This tells me that God will hear us if we hear him.
In chapter 7:14 God spoke His
instructions saying, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” The people responded because God promised to hear them. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. Only after the people humble themselves, pray, seek the face of God and turn from their wicked ways, only then would God hear them, forgive their sins, and heal their lands.
Does this same example of a relationship with God exist today whereby we obey God and he blesses us? Father, in Jesus’ name, let Your words be our commands, and by Your Spirit we will hear. Pour out the Spirit of repentance on Your church and cause us all to turn from our own agendas, to seek Your face and Your hand. In Jesus’ mighty name.
Hallelujah! Amen.
